Can dents be removed from a Pontiac Solstice with one of the pop a dent tools? Works on fiberglass or metal?

My car was kicked in a parking lot and has a big shoe sized dent above the passenger rear tire. I have seen ads on TV for fixing dents yourself vs calling the insurance and paying big bucks. Do those things work? Do they work on new cars or just on my old one that was metal? Think the panel is a composite of some kind…not metal (but unsure). Thank you all in advance.

I have been doing paintless dent repair for 7 years. Dry ice is a myth it will not work . Try and find a paintless dent repair man first and see what he thinks not all dents can be taken out with this method, but it is alot cheaper and saves your original paint if it can be done. If you can’t find one in yellow pages go to local car dealer, most all use them, and will know who is best.
